Back to the topic.  According to SGC web site, specs on the 230 are 200W PEP
and 80W continuous,  that would be CW?  Add for power in sidebands at 80W,
its handling capacity would have to be  be 120W, right? If high level AM.
(plate mod on modulation peaks)

 

Hooking to a BC-610,  or another AM rig with close to that power would be a
risk I would not want to take as most of those tuners do not have sufficient
“head room” on power to handle the stress from high level AM.  Just my $0.02
worth  Any little SWR at that level would make your SG a “crispy critter”
I’d imagine.
