Wow, there were quite a few replies to my request for info
on the G-76. There seems to be a bit of interest in it.
Thanks for all the replies and comments.

However, one of the other things I picked up at the
swapmeet, seems to have been a nasty cold, which knocked
me out of the game for a few days.

I felt good enough tonight, though, to replace the missing
tubes, do some basic checks, and apply power. Receives very weakly
on 75, nothing on the higher bands, but the transmitter VFO works
on spot, with a good note. Stability isn't too bad, no problem tuning
in or listening to a SSB conversation. Haven't yet even attempted to
do anything on the transmit side of things.

Will let y'all know how the project progresses.
