[Boatanchors] Receiver muting

Thanks to all for pointing out the features of the Hammarlund receivers.  I have seen the socket on the back, but
until I just now pulled out the manual and looked again, with the explanations of the folks here, I wasnt sure what
Hammarlund was  referring to about those contacts.   
 
Never owned a Hammarlund as a Novice because they were too pricy ...   They were the ones we Novices dreamed about. HI HI.
 
Now it makes sense what Hammarlund explains, but just reading the manuals themselves, it leaves a little bit of doubt what
they mean.
