I have the original Bill Orr article "New Life for the National
NC-240D" saved as a PDF (7mB) or separate JPEG pages (4x1.8mB)
available to anyone who can receive it by mail.
Several years ago I performed these mods on a National RAO-7 and a
BC-312 with great success. It opened up things above 14mHz in a
dramatic way, and stabilized the HFO a lot.
I don't recall if this article mentions it, but additional bypass
caps (combo of three disc 0.1uF, 0.01uF and 0.001uF) on the
cathodes and screens of the RF stages also made a significant
difference.
Drop me a line requesting it in the format of your choice (one
attached pdf or four separate e-mails with one jpeg each).
