The B&W has the best stop band attenuation but the teflon sheet
capacitors cant handle 1500W at much over a 1.5:1 VSWR. I use the B&W
between 2 modern ricebox rigs and amps and a Johnson or ICE at the
output. The boatanchor stations use Johnsons since they were a lot more
common at ham fleamarkets for low cost. I wouldnt trust a B&W at a KW of
AM.

As mentioned the Drake and Bud are also good, as long as nobody got
loose with a screwdriver and tried to adjust.
