I left National about half way thru the design process of that rig.
National was falling fast and management cut the R&D budget several 
times as well as dictating low end components.

I couldnt stand it any longer and bailed in mid 69 while good jobs were 
still available. National went from 1250 to about 200 employees in a 3 
year period and by 1970 was down to about 25.
