The MIL list I think you would be referring to is MILSURPLUS, also on 
qth.net.

The Navy (or USMC) never to my knowledge did a standalone manual on the 
receiver alone.  The didn't even do a manual on the AN/GRC-14.  Everything is 
covered in NAVSHIPS 992911(A), Volumes 1 and 2, on AN/MRC-55.

Since a lot of people have the R-808's and almost no one ever has any of the 
rest of the set (except for the Jeep), some years back I scanned the entire 
manual and then extracted the receiver information to make a receiver only 
manual  Price is $30.60 plus shipping.  196 pages, 14 foldouts, heavy covers, screw 
post bound.
