[Boatanchors] 17 Meter Antenna For Halli

Hi All,

All of my antenna arrays are set up to operate without the need for an
antenna tuner. Hence, I can not easily modify one of them for seventeen
meters.

Any suggestions for a 'good' mono band seventeen meter antenna to be used
with the Hallicrafters SX-117 or SR-150?

Speaking of seventeen meters reminds me of the 'forgotten' band known as 12
meters! Does anyone use it? I almost never even hear it spoken of, as if it
were either some creature loose from the crypt or nearly extinct in the
memory of Hams! What's the deal anyhow? It seems to me that we Hams should
use the frequencies that we have, as the vermin are just waiting and licking
their financial chops to devour our bandwidths!

I wish we could stick them all of eleven meters, wrap it all in a RF proof
covering and forget about it!
