Please join us on Sunday July 20th for the HHI 20 meter Net. Do not use the
list of "honey do's" as an excuse, as if she is going to pack up and leave
because you delayed carving up the front shrubs with the solar powered chain
saw she bought you for Fathers Day on the 'Green" channel, by one hour ...
Well sport, she was probably going to hit the pavement running with your
credit card, retirement account and identity anyhow! So if she is still
there after you light up those wonders that still go glow in the dark, then
life is good!
The Pre-Net commences at 12:45 PM EST/EDT, (1645 UTC). No fanfare, just a
lot of hissing from atmospheric indigestion. If the noise blanker does not
get rid of it, try plugging your good ear with a free finger!
The HHI Net will start at 1:15 PM EST/EDT, (1715 UTC). A sure give away that
you are on the correct frequency and that the Halligan's Hallicrafters
International 20 meter Net is about to begin, is when my talking 24 hour
clock announces the time with its British accent and hint of Japanese as it
stutters!
The frequency is 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and that
infernal atmospheric racket that sounds like a Hurricane with genes from a
Tornado mixed in! Somebody please get me some crosshair coordinates on this
thing so I can shoot a few of the leftover from the fourth of July three
inch commercial Class B Titanium Salute shells at it!
Listen for us from 14.292 MHZ up through 14.293 MHZ. Depending on the calm
of the Ham neighborhood, we will be somewhere in there!
Here is hoping to hear many of you tomorrow!
