[Boatanchors] HQ-170A

Its unfortunate but it may have been a sign of the times as Hammarlund was
on the way out and probably went the cheapest route in selecting component
vendors.

National and Hallicrafters werent any different at the end.

What I always find amazing is how stable and sensitive the old catacomb
tuner Nationals are. I have a NC-101X, NC-200 and three NC-240D's that are
very useable on SSB. They outperform any of the competition of their era
including the SX-28 and old Super Pros.

Same with the HRO's going back to the early 1935 model I often use.

You have to give James Millen a lot of credit for his innovations.
