Hi Carl,
Now that has got to be just about the most terrifying, yet exciting, ride
that mankind has yet to devise! Puts these theme park super roller coasters
to shame, and some of them are enough to either cause your underwear to rip
itself into shreds or give them a sort of "spotted" look! One can only
imagine what it was like for you to be crushed into the seat when the
catapult and tremendously powerful jet engines launched you off the carrier
flight deck and then the lump that started in the pit of your stomach and
worked its way up to the back of your throat as the jet landed and was
abruptly stopped by the cables it snagged. Those pilots get my ultimate
respect!
But then again, so do the Astronauts who used to get strapped onto a
Redstone or Atlas missle, literally! Now it is that incredible Space
Shuttle.
