I probably shouldn't do this but I have an inventory program that I will
give to anyone that wants it.
I wrote it some 20 years ago when I was learning to program. I was in the
rep business (two way radio) and a customer wanted a simple inventory
program to keep track of his repair parts so I put this together. I would
give it to my customers and many used it in their shops. I also used it for
awhile to keep track of all of our demo equipment that our salesmen had and
who they loaned it to. So there are actually two separate inventory programs
in one.
It is written in dbase/clipper which is compiled into an exe program. It
will run on any dos machine or in a dos window on windows. It is under 200k
in size and has unlimited data base size. Well, there is a limit but it is
very large and I don't remember what the number is. You won't fill it up.
You can search/sort on part number, manufacturer or description. You only
need put in part of any of those and it will bring up all that match.
If you want to see all the tubes that start with 6s just put that in and it
will show all. Putting in 6sj will narrow the search etc. If you use the
manufacturer field for radio or tube rather than actual manufacturer it will
be sorted by that code.
This works well but is not a well polished program (it was in my early days
:>) ) and there are names, address's and phone numbers of some of our guys,
most have since moved, in the help screen along with a list of the products
we handled at the time so just ignore that part as it is hard coded into the
program.
