I'm dredging up old memory cells but I used FoxPro for several years from
shortly after I shifted from CPM3 to MS DOS then went back to dBase when 4.0 came
out. My understanding is that MicroSoft bought it and pretty quickly shut it
down in favor of Access. Which was a shame, as it was a good product, unlike
Access. Last time I looked into it was quite a few years ago (10+) and all I
found was old info, nothing current. So I don't know what became of it. I
haven't looked since. But if someone bought the rights and resurrected it, it
would certainly be a viable option.
