Give Excel (or the Open Office version of same) a try! Altho initially a 
little intimidating, Excel is easy to use to manage simple lists, charts, 
etc.

I have a very simple template I'd be happy to share with you, but in the 
time it took you to download/save/open mine, you could build your own!

Anyway, contact me offlist if you want my inventory sheet. I have NOT 
adapted mine to link to photos, but it's a great idea. In fact, one could 
also link MP3 audio files (or even videos...wow!) with A/V descriptions of 
equipment, who to contact for help with removal, special conditions, etc.

If I didn't have 80 other irons in the fire, I'd be on this tomorrow!
