[Boatanchors] New light bulbs

Hi Gang!!
I've got a bunch of these installed in the house. They all came
from a regional big box store here, and if memory serves, they are all
Sylvania. They are very quiet after start up. That was the first thing
that I did was check them with a broadcast band radio to find noise.
Even the shortwave is quiet on the Kenwood and Collins. Love 'em!!
They're especially great in a service lamp because I don't get burnt any
more. I've also refitted a bunch of my four foot fluorescent lamps with
new electronic ballasts and found pretty much the same thing. The lamp
ballasts aren't quite as quiet, but their pretty good. I can run a
dozen four tube units and still have a fairly quiet SW spectrum. BTW
the ballasts are made by Sunpak, the same people who make the electronic
flash units for your camera.
