The Sunday September 30th HHI 20 meter Net begins with the Pre-Net at 12:45
PM EST/EDT, (1645 UTC) and the Net proper at 1:15 PM EST/EDT, (1715 UTC).
The frequency is 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
reverbrating rattlling rumbles of ten thousand thunders as my homebrew chili
works its way through my plumbing. If the 'loud and wide' ground is present
spreading joy and QRM everywhere with equal dispersion +/-10 KHz, we will
slide down to 14.292 MHZ usb and attempt to hear you there. Maybe we should
just run in AM for fun on Sunday and see what shakes out of the ionossphere,
government agencies and in states with four seasons, what shakes loose and
floats down to mother earth as a beautifully colored leaf! Isn't at least 6
+/- considered by radio experts as "real radio"?

Here is hoping to hear you tomorrow you lovers of things that still go glow
in the dark without ingesting Radium or very tiny self-powered Barbie life
like eyeballs that actually light up in blue, green, brown, hazel and red
pine? Anyway, tune in tomorrow and learn who really designed the FPM-300 and
why it suddenly vanished from dealer showrooms just as CB rigs with 40
channels and a built in slider appeared. You know, that Cobra that used A
Siltronics VFO, Drake W-4, someone's RX pre-amp with a supposed 36 DB gain
with no noise level increase, the Penetrator vertical and the infamous
Maverick two stage amplifier that you could work European DX with, fry an
egg on top of, get a sun tan from having it closer to you then fifty feet,
blanked out all TV sets within a 250 foot radius, enabled you to be heard on
all FM receivers regardless of what frequencies they were designed to hear,
open garage door systems for all neighbors as a free courtesy service, set
off every kind of home security alarm system invented in the early
seventies, flooded the security system office with automatically dialed
calls with prerecorded robotic taped messages from Mars on those really
small cassettes, cause dogs and cats wearing metal choke chains to do pole
vault moves in your living room when you keyed the mike and expensive exotic
tropical fish in home aquariums to explode or leap out of the tank and end
up on your carpeting in front of shocked guests flipping and flopping around
until it either died from suffocation or a family pet ate it! Damn! I miss
the Browning 'purely legal" CB station I had!
