Hi Bob, good to hear from you.
I figured you would respond sooner or later. That's a really nice looking Regen on ebay. I would guess the tube is a 1625 or 807 and since the power is 12V, probably a 1625 ....I don't know how long an 807 lasts on 12V, maybe he added a resistor ? I know several of these "large tube regens" work very well because of the extremely low current requirement, it's all voltage, voltage, voltage. The coils are large and will definitely be high "Q". Not "space charge", but it will work on 12VDC. If he put a 12AL8 with 12VDC behind it as a power "pusher", he would have a "space charge" Regen and they REALLY work (on nothing more than 12VDC). They are fun to tinker with.
On the EH Scott, this receiver is exactly like the one you have, LSR-12B (picture on Al Parker's web site) with the sliderule dial, tuning "eye", etc. However, mine has no indication of an ID plate ever being mounted where your's is mounted and there are 3 tiny threaded holes below the bottom of the front bezel and something (one 1/4" hole and 2 tiny mounting holes) above the front bezel ....for ? The outside metal cabinet is mounted on the usual Navy shock mount base plate. Looks some kind of snap-in ? flat glass from the bezel is missing but the second glass plate behind the pointer is there. Is your front glass piece part of the bezel ?
