Hi Carl,

I run into many guys who have never heard of the Experimental licenses.
I am licensed for 2 other bands 1750 & 2200 meters. Those are fun bands
also. Very good groundwave coverage down there with little power.

I got a ton of emails about that amp and 600 meters in general...hi
hi... The plan so far for the plate tune cap is lots of fixed cap in
parallel with the factory variable. Same for the loading cap, gonna use
fixed in parallel with the factory variable. The band is so narrow that
some of the guys have said there will be no re-tuning from the bottom to
top of the band. Now the tank inductor...going to try a pair of T400-2
toroids stacked and wound with whatever it takes. I understand it would
take about 60 turns of an air core coil for the tank and there isn't
enough room inside for a good 60 turn coil. The input tank will be a
toroid also but there isn't any fears of problems on the input. The
output will have to be done right as I don't want to waste a pair of
those large cores. I was told by someone to expect 500w output with the
4E27's and more with 4E27A's. Everything is new old stock so I'll run
with the tubes it shipped with for quite a while unless I can get a
smokin deal on a new pair of 4E27A's.

Yes please scan & email those Eimac documents. I am just starting to get
documentation on the parts and the amp so I can get a plan in place for
the conversion to 600 meters.

The final result will be a very healthy signal any of the guys can
listen to at night or daytime if within about 250-300 miles of me.

Thanks much,
Mike
