I operate, along with many others, with a Part 5 Experimental license 
for 505-510kc. Details are at www.500kc.com
Many of our group were in the military running 500kc in the olden days. 
The UK has an experimental band about 501-504kc. There are other 
countries that operate with experimental licenses just above 505kc. That 
website will fill you in on tons of details.
