Hello to the list,
I have several BA receivers in various stages of
restoration. I am always concerned about safety and
add line fuses and 3 wire cords. I am also concerned
about protecting the components and tansformers in the
gear which brings me to my question for the list.
I am interested in fusing the transformer secondary
leads B+ and filiment to protect against damage should
a failure occur. I am unsure how to select the proper
fuse for the B+ as I dont recall the stadard glass
fuses having DC voltage ratings. Would a 250VAC glass
fuse with the same current rating for my application
provide protection at say 150-200V B+ or is there a
calcualtion one can use to aid in selecting the
correct fuse for DC?
Thanks and 73,
Frank
