[Boatanchors] JOHNSON MODEL 122 VFO RE-CAP

Has anyone done a re-cap on a Johnson Viking Model 122 VFO?  Mine is
working, but unstable, drifts, and has a mild chirp.  Other than that,
it's working fb.

 I've already cleaned the Bandswitch and variable capacitor grounds
with De-Oxit, which helped quite a bit.  I think the instability might
be fixed by re-establishing good chassis grounds. Not sure about
fixing the mild chirp - that may come from the voltage regulator.  I
suspect the drift can be fixed or improved with the addition of  the
appropriate capacitors.

Any references or suggestions would be appreciated.
