I think it basically comes down to the KISS principal. They both have
names, very simple names. Why complicate matters by making up an
imaginary name? How could it possibly make anything easier to call
something what it isn't, instead of what it is? And what favors do you
do for the uneducated/uninformed by passing the same nonsense on to
them? Why not start newbies off right by giving them accurate
information?
