OK I finally get it, I've read all the stuff today in response to my post 
about calling a 390 a 390 non A, so from now on when I bring my car in for 
service I will make sure to let the service guy know that it is a Buick Park 
Ave-non Lesabre. For my other car I will tell them it is a Buick Roadmaster 
Estate Wagon, non-sedan. (service guys frequently can't tell the difference 
until I point out the big hump in the back of it)
Seriously, a few months ago I let this and the 390 list know that I was 
looking for a 390 and I got a lot of responses and only one person tried to 
sell me a 390A and I told him that sounds nice but I'm looking for a 390 not 
a 390A and didn't hear from him again, so I think the majority of people 
here probably do know the difference between them.
