For operations like that, I have a big UPS battery: 91 Ampere-Hour,
deep-discharge, AGM (Adsorbed Glass Mat) technology. It'll run a 100W
rig 8 hours pretty easily. I fudged, though: I have four of 'em. 

It's fairly heavy (76 pounds), so you may want a 2-wheeler of some 
sort to move it around. A battery charger will top it up in a few
hours in your hotel room. 

I use mine for the OKC Marathon, where I work with the medical folks 
at a station about 5 miles from the finish line. They're also nice for 
operating from along the Talimena Drive, the top of Mt. Scott, and 
other high places.
