Please join us on Saturday January 27th for the Halligan's Hallicrafters
International 40 meter Net. The cold has come, the frost has friz,
snowflakes are falling, if the skip is short, we are in biz!

The pre-Net commences at 12:30 PM EST, (1730 UTC). This portion is easy to
hear, as everyone seems to use the Net frequency to tune their rigs up on!
The Net proper begins at 1:00 PM EST, (1800 UTC).

The frequency will be 7.280 MHZ lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and
some lost soul in "3" land who keeps calling "CQ Contest" week after week.
Probably a contest station with one of those digital "CQ" loops and auto ID.
Saves on the operator's voice. Apparently somebody forgot to turn the rig
off, left it in the VOX mode, it keeps on calling ... And people keep
answering! I wonder who, or what, is keeping the station log? Won't somebody
surprised when they get their electrical bill from their utility company!

Did you see the Hallicrafters material concerning the 1952 presidential
election being sold? What a grin!

Light up your Halli tomorrow and join us for some facts, fibs, fun and
fellowship that glows in the dark! Hear you then!
