To prevent RFI and eliminate concerns about FCC regs
re. stray radiation I suppose one could either use
highly-leaded glass (not sure of a source) or a metal
grid on the glass -- the latter partially obscuring
but not eliminating the view of the glow.

Perhaps a 40M to 160M transverter and amplifier in
one?
