Dumont and, I believe some models of Hoffman and Fada (Frank A. 
DeAndrea) used the inductuner or a version of it. There may have been 
more but memory dims since I worked on those in the early 1950's.

The tuner continuously covered all VHF channels 2 through 13. However, 
most manufacturers intentionally locked out the FM band (between 
channels 5 and 6). The more expensive models would receive the FM radio 
stations.

As I recall, from having worked on them, it was a mere snip of the 
diagonal cutters to "convert" to the FM capabilities.
