[Boatanchors] more DX-100 questions for Dummies

I got new power tubes, 6293's which most people seem to think are better 
6146's and new 1625's and rectifiers, it seems everything was OK except the 
old power tubes were 6146B's (6146W's). I still can't seem to get over about 
100 ma of plate current, I'm wondering if I'm following the manual correctly 
or misreading it or something. Can someone give me minute directions on the 
stuff on page 49-51 of the manual especially the grid current and driver 
plate current. The book is not clear on which scale to use and when, for me 
anyway. I need the "DX-100 Transmitter Set up for Dummies" I think, probably 
out of print now though. Everything seems to work well enough on both CW and 
mic. light bulb seems bright enough especially on voice peaks. I'm getting 
over 800V plate voltage. When I dip it I always get about 100 ma plate 
current. I have not used the driver plate current part of the meter for 
anyhting, the way I read it is to use the final grid current part of the 
meter to set up the drive as is written in the middle of page 50 as it says 
to leave it in grid on the preceding page and never says when to use the 
driver plate current meter. I upgraded to general tonight.
