[Boatanchors] Need suggestions and question on antenna for DX-100

Hey Bob...I'd recommend the loop as another gentleman suggested.
I have a full wave cut for 3885 and its been up ten years. Fed with
32 and a half feet of 470 ohm pvc covered ballance feedline, with a
centaur 5kv 4 to 1 balun feeding rg8 into the hamshack where I use a
dentron mt-3000 tuner.
Its an extraordinary antenna, on a city lot, that forced a "tilt" on
the north side to a vee. (not enough land to put the whole thing up
four sided) The feedpoint is up fifty feet, and the north side vee is
about 12 feet off the ground.
Point is, it doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be the
correct length.
It is tuneable 160-6 meters, though, as the gentleman pointed out,
its better feed as a T for 160. This requires bypassing the balun,
and shorting the ballanced feedline, fed off the "random wire or long
wire" port of your tuner.
good luck and 73...the loop is the hot setup!!
