I have Harvey Wells TBS 50 serial # 2121 which has the
nomenclature "Transmitter TBS 50" across the top of
the front panel. The finish appears to be wrinkle
Gray. There appears to be a light coat of rust Dust
forming on the paint surface.

I have seen some of the transmitters with the
nomenclature "Bandmaster Senior" across the top of the
front panel. The Bandmaster Senior appeared to be
black wrinkle paint.

Questions: 

What are the differences in the "Transmitter TBS 50"
and the "Bandmaster Senior"??

Are the letters around the controls engraved on both
models or just painted on?

Were they actually painted different colors?

Would anyone know the approximate manufacture date of
my Harvey Wells "Transmitter TBS 50" serial # 2121???
