A good source for a lot of transmitter and receiver information,
including roughly the amount of time they were in the marketplace, are
Moore's books on Communications Receivers covering1932-1981 and
Transsmitters Exciters, and Power Amplifiers covering1930-1980. My
assumption is that he did a lot of search before publishing those books.
Shortwave Receivers Past and Present covering 1942-1997 by Fred Osterman,
also is a great book with lots of great information.
