[Boatanchors] "Re-engraving" panel markings

Ok fellows, maybe I did not make myself clear about what I needed.

When I speak of "Engraving", I mean the marks, lines, slots, grooves or 
whatever you want to call them that are on the panel.
These marks, lines, slots, grooves, etc. is what the what the white paint 
goes into.
I know how to apply the white paint.
I want to know if there is a good method to make these marks, lines, slots, 
grooves, etc. DEEPER so that when the panel is painted they do not get 
filled completely with the primer and/or finish coat paint.
