Gene,
Not necessarily. They probably put out a "generic" example of what
could be done, but they don't know just what your soil condition is, or
that of anyone else. They probably have a disclaimer to that effect on
what they do suggest. In particular, they don't know what you plan to
hang on top of the tower. Sandy soil and hurricane winds aren't a good
combination, particularly when the heavy rains have loosened things up.
