Going through the advertising sections in old ARRL handbooks is great fun
and can bring back many memories and reminders of "how it was." I thought
that you all might enjoy some of the items noted in the 1951 Edition.

Remember this ...?

1. National Radio made a TV set (TV-2030) and a TV "Booster." (RF stage)
2. The HRO-50 with A/B/C/D coils cost $359
3. The pretty National ACN (5 x 7-1/4") dial cost $3.30 (I wanted one for
my home brew VFO but ...)
4. Hallicrafters SR-75 transceiver (!) A combination S-38B and 10-watt
transmitter
5. Millen made panel decal transfers (#59001)
6. One of the first advertisements for the Collins KW-1 ("Price to be
Announced")
7. Amphenol made an antenna rotator (The "Auto-Dial")
8. WRL "40" Trotter (25w AM; 40w Phone) $79.50 (kit)

Takes you back, doesn't it?
