[Boatanchors] Collins Question

Received a call from a friend of mine that has a 75SC3 and a 32S3A.
Low grid drive on 10M and no receive on 10M.

He suspects one of the crystals is bad and asked me if there was a way
to test it.

Aside from jigging up a test oscillator circuit,  I suggested he use a
loop pickup near the oscillator tube and feed that into his DC to
light Kenwood and see what the osciallator was running at.   Any other
suggestions?

Don't know anything about his TX and RX, so I was just providing some
general suggestions.
