Larry es Duane.

There could be another cause. I have a condition called venous stasis
retinopathy in my left eye. OK, what that is and I will have to get
just a bit technical here is what is also called central vein
occlusion. The main vein draining the retina is clogged, so the eye
develops what is called collateral circulation, and a whole bunch of
blood vessels develop on top of the retina, effectively obscuring it.

That's the techincal part, the result is the retina doesn't get the
blood it needs, generally in the central area, and thus, doesn't work,
so one has lousy vision in the central area, and increasingly better
vision around it. There is no known cure. Laser surgery may or may
not work. I was diagnosed with it in February 1994, and was told I
would be blind in that eye in 8 months. I have 20-20 in that eye today
even with the collateral circulation (stuff is a little fuzzy in the
center but who cares?)...

Bottom line.. see a retinal specialist ASAP..

73 and good luck!!!
