[Boatanchors] Hammarlund SP-600/JX17 For Sale (pick-up)

Hi All,

First, due to the weight of these critters I've "sworn off" doing any more 
work on boatanchors.  However, this JX-17 was taken as a swap for another 
receiver (Yaesu) that a friend of mine wanted, and I never could turn down a 
good swap ;-)  Especially as I'm familiar with this particular set, having 
recapped and overhauled it some time back.

NOTE:  I WILL NOT ship the unit, at this price it's pick up in Central 
California (Merced) only (I pulled my back the last time I boxed one of 
these critters for shipping).

Electrical condition:  GOOD, having been recently recapped and aligned etc. 
(all Black Beauties and electrolytics replaced).  The two wire power socket 
was replaced with a similar military 3 wire power socket and a three wire 
power cord fitted.  The "authorized" IF Gain control mod has been done, 
installed where the dial lock normally is.  It plays very well (as it should 
with all the work that was done on it).  This one is "plug and play"!

Cosmetics:  I would have to say fair to good.  The usual paint chips around 
the rack mounting screws, somebody "less than expertly" filled in the 
engraved area around the band "window", lettering is good, all knobs are the 
correct ones EXCEPT for the IF Gain Mod, though it 'looks' nearly proper. 
INCLUDES bottom cover, but NO top cover.

I'm asking $325.00 USD CASH, PICKED UP (and you can hear it).  If you're 
familiar with these sets I think you'd have to agree that's a 'good deal'. 
If I were to ship it I'd increase that price sharply.

I 'MAY' consider a swap for something else of interest (like a nearly new 
dual bander with remote kit etc.), but that's a bit iffy.
