[Boatanchors] bench lighting?

These lamps are very price / quality sensitive.
The "bargain" units often have poor lenses that distort, causing
"unexplained" headaches as a result of your eyes continuously trying to
"focus" around various almost imperceptible defects. Often the defects
can be seen by looking at small text or quad ruled paper. The
"stretching" distortion at the edges isn't the problem, but poor focus
in "some" areas of the lens field indicates a problem. Some lenses look
almost like digital artifacts (jaggies) on text or lines.
