Hi all:
I picked up a real treasure...a homebrew SSB generator made to work into a
Viking Valiant...some extremely nice Ham construction...gosh...what those guys
did then!!!
Soooo...I need to know just what the Valiant DID with an SSB generator...what
the Valiant needed to operate SSB etc etc...so that I have an idea of just
what this work-of-Ham-Art/Craftsmanship does.
I was told by the seller that it has an output of 1 watt...I can tell you
that there are MANY controls on the front panel..and..I've just started to read
the documentation that the OM put together on this creation...Thank The Great
Spirit he was an engineer...the darn 'sketches' are even done with drawing
set...and..get this...the 'instructions' to get it tuned up...are two pages
long...single spaced typed!!!.....that's one L O N G list of tuning up
procedures....
Circa 1962...1967...just picture him..in his shack...he probably made his
Valiant too.
Hamology.
Your comments, suggestions...guesses are warmly welcome.
Keep'em Glowing...
