Wonder if one of them might be Press Wireless? If so, there is info
out there but maybe not a lot on the web. Press made huge transmitters
in WWII and built gear afterwards, including a bunch for the FAA. Last
week whilst retrieving a big transmitter from a friend, I also picked
up some old FAA gear including some small switchboxes that look like
they were made for a console, some audio amps with Millen knobs, and a
really interesting RUP VHF receiver. The amps and boxes are Press
Wireless, the RUP is by Hallicrafters. All in that greenish FAA
wrinkle paint.

Quality stuff, but the Halli RUP is extremely cool: it contains a
large drum with frequencies in the aviation band, motor-driven tuning,
very high quality. Rack mounted with the typical door-access to
components. Large and heavy, too.

Wilcox also made gear for the FAA.
