Sure it is, Ken - just like the Icom is a radio. But the 747 isn't a
'prop-job', for example, and never could be. (o:

BTW, lest anyone think I was dumping on SS gear by using the term
'doorstop', I wasn't. Looking back, I doubt that 'boatanchor' was
meant to be an endearing term as we tend to see it now, more like 'all
that thing is good for is a boatanchor'. Since firmware and other SS
parts (like old transistors) are often difficult, if not impossible to
find or substitute, the 'newer' old radios could likely end up as
doorstops, with HTs and other items being used as paperweights.
