OK I finally found the stuff I was looking for.
Rohn 55 factory specs for height versus wind and wind load on a free
standing tower
20PSF = 70.7 MPH
NO ICE W/5 sq feet of wind load
57.8 feet (height)
W/10 sq feet of wind load
47.4 feet (height)
1/2 inch of ICE W/5 sq feet of wind load
42.6 feet (height)
W/10 sq feet of wind load
37.0 feet (height)
So as a base line you can expect to have 10 square feet of antenna on a Rohn
55 with no ice
that is free standing to 47.4 feet tall survive winds of 70mph.
I have the specs all the way up to 50PSF or 111 plus MPH.
Dave I hope this answers you question. If you need anything further I can
check back in the
book and try to help fine tune if needed.
