I just got back form dropping off a box at the local UPS (Staples). I asked
the woman behind the counter if there were any days that were worse for
shipping than other and said there were none she was aware of.

Of course, the lady in line behind me said that every day was a dangerous
day for packages.

Actually, UPS has been pretty good with our shipments. I had some real
problems with the USPS and will never ship anything with them again. They
totally destroyed a nice little FT-101E and would not make good on it even
though it was fully insured.
