AC-operated relay coils are funny things. Usually they have a high
inductance so that the current that flows through them when
activated with 60Hz is much much less than what you'd expect based
on DC resistance. So it's actually possible that it's a 120VAC
relay that works with 6VDC too.
If it works find off of 6VDC, I'd encourage you to use that rather
than 120VAC. Yeah, I know it was a "standard" in the 40's/50's/60's to
use 120VAC for T/R switching, but I got bitten by T/R wiring so many
times! Make sure it doesn't run excessively hot when energized
or else it won't last long!
