There is an electroless silver plating compound known as "Kookamp" which can
be used to restore silver plated surfaces. It can also be used to put a
silver plating on an otherwise unplated surface. I've used it on copper tubing
tank circuits. I've also used it on automotive fuseholders to reduce the
resistance. I forget who makes it, but a search should turn it up. If your plating
is questionable, perhaps Koolamp might be the answer.
