I'm relying on memory here, but I seem to recall
reading that young Bill Halligan worked for Tobe
Deutschmann at the first Radio Shack in Boston, and
that it was the Deutschmann family, not Mr. Halligan,
that founded Radio Shack. Halligan was a crackerjack
salesman and perhaps did, indeed, wind up at least
partially owning the store (I think there were more
than one, actually). But didn't the Deutschmanns start
the thing? Does anyone have the documentation at hand?
I'm separated from my modest library for a few days...
