Here's what I posted a few days ago:

I have a Weller W100P. It came with a massive 3/8" chisel tip. Like
the smaller WTCPT soldering station that I use for circuit-board work,
it is temperature-controlled (750 f). The temperature control is part
of the tip, and you can get tips with various sizes and temperatures.

In any event, it absolutely laughs at chassis connections, and makes
outdoor PL259 braid soldering a pleasure. I also use it for copper
tubing tank coils and similar jobs. It is *far* better than a 250 watt
gun, because of the heat capacity of the tip and the temperature control.

I got it from a place specializing in supplies for stained-glass work. I
think it cost about $75 -- definitely less than $100. It is worth twice
the price.
