Over a period of time I've noticed posts regarding soldering PL-259s, and the best soldering irons to use for them.

I've mostly ignored these posts because I've had a good, big soldering iron for many years, which I plugged in today to make a short jumper for in-shack use.

After a few minutes I picked the iron up to begin soldering and it was dead cold.

Now I wish I'd paid attention!

Any recommendations for an iron suitable for PL-259s?
