[Boatanchors] Thank You!

Once again a proof positive as to how valuable these lists are. Gentlemen,
they do not run on our appreciation, it takes cash to pay the bills to keep
the lights on at the QTH.NET building that the owner Alan Waller, K3TKJ
provides us with. While it is fantastic to be appreciated, we still have to
help the cause. Because if we do not, one day it will stimply be gone. It is
not like you are asked to contribute a huge amount of money, if every
subscriber sent Al fifty cents he could fund it for two years! But we all
know hat that only about 1%, or less, of the subscribers donate anything. I
know it is not fair that the rest of us have to make up for their
exploitation of the system, my words - not Al Waller's, but as is going on
all over the country and with all sorts of diverse groups, a few do the work
for the many. Not right, but it is how things are.

I recently heard from a guy who benefits a lot from these lists, he has
never contributed a cent, feels guilty, but can't afford to make a
contribution on his retirement income. Wrong! If he sent a dollar, it is one
more dollar than Al had before. nobody is asking you to send fifty dollars,
a hundred dollars etc. Twenty is the typical request, but in you can not
send twenty, then send what you can. if that if five or ten dollars, great.
it 'ALL' helps. If we all did a little, it would solve the problems of
funding QTH.NET without using commercial sources.

Many of us would be lost without these invaluable resources and the
incredible talent that is found on every single list. A resource I
personally think we will all be sadly hurting for if it goes away.
