[Boatanchors] AM bandwidth

My ears may be old, but I can't tell the difference in Class E rigs and 
plate modulated Class C audio.  With that said, I can tell the difference 
about 5-10 Kc away with a properly loaded and modulated Class C rig..

Remember sharp switching of the carrier produces the same problems as old CW 
rigs that were cathode keyed.  The carrier was switched off and on very 
sharply which produced key clicks.

Some of the Class E stuff does the same thing and the result is very broad 
products.  Rapid switching of the carrier produces some of that.  Maybe some 
day someone will develop a method of filtering that will eliminate the 
problem.
